Original Text: April 1st, 2020

In accordance with provincial protocols, we closed our church office and suspended our services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Office

Virtual Office Hours are between 9 AM to 3 PM; Monday to Thursday. Please contact Janet, our efficient and energetic Secretary (416-636-2471 ext. 14 or [email protected]) if you have any questions or requests. She will be happy to help you.

Online Giving is the easiest way to give your tithes and offerings. However, you may also arrange a time to drop off your donation. Please contact Maria, our resourceful Treasurer (416-636-2471 ext. 15 or [email protected]). She will certainly guide you.

Our pastoral team is also here to support you and Pastor Godsoe is reachable at (416) 636-2471 ext. 10.

Sabbath Day

Saturday Morning Interactive Sabbath School Bible Study Classes are available via Zoom and we will live stream the Saturday Morning Worship Service (see home page). Please continue to check this website for the most up-to-date information.

Other Programs

Our Foodbank and the Helping Hands Community Store are closed until further notice.

ESL Classes have been canceled until further notice.

Thank you for your much-needed continued financial support.  The best and safest way to give is through the secure online donation service – AdventistGiving – which you can access from the “Online Giving” tab at the top right corner of this website.

Resources During Confinement

Finally, a couple of points to keep in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Willowdale subscribes to the vast Christian video resource of RightNow Media.  If you haven’t yet signed up to get access, send your email address with a request for access to RightNow Media to the church office ([email protected]) so that an e-vite can be sent your way.
  • If you haven’t done so yet – get in the loop and sign up to join the Willowdale email newsletter.

As has often recently been said – these are unprecedented times.  But remember that there is nothing that has happened in all of this which has overwhelmed God.  His continued care for us is not panicked but confidently controlled.  Let’s keep our faith in him so that we can remain alert, careful, calm, and useful.  We apologize for the inconvenience these disruptions have caused, and thank you for your understanding.  May God bless you with His presence and peace,

Pastor Darren R. Godsoe,
Senior Pastor of the Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church
