The Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church is a vibrant community that extends far beyond this website. If you would like to receive updates on our latest programs and activities, or if you’d like to enjoy daily uplifting messages, powerful Bible promises, and a loving congregation, we invite you to follow us on social media.

  1. It has been a long time since my mother and I have attended the Willowdale church.
I had always wanted to rejoin the orchestra.

Unfortunately at the moment my mother is in the hospital. We would greatly appreciate that she be in your prayers.

Please be safe and God be with you all in every way.

    • Hi Irma,
We’re sorry to read that your mom is unwell.
Our prayers will be for your mother and you.
We pray that Our Father grant you the strength and wisdom
as you face your current circumstances.
Please remember Our Father will never forsake us

  2. For some time now I have been puzzled and perplexed by the EGW quote that has followed the salutation quite regularly in the Willowdale Newsletter. In discussing this with others, they have found it equally puzzling — no one seems to grasp its relevance. Can anyone shed some light as to the intent or purpose of this message?
While all the hard work that obviously goes into preparing and updating the site is greatly appreciated, perhaps positive and uplifting messages/quotes would be more encouraging, particularly during these distressing times.
Thank you for giving this consideration.

  3. Hello Enid,

Thank you so much for your comment. We must first admit that there was an oversight. The EGW quote is supposed to change each week and I didn’t see that it was the same each week. We will fix this going forward, so thanks again for noticing it and for telling us.

As for the relevance, it was a quote that the EGW estate raised as an interesting one and we agree. Putting the quote in its context, Mrs White raised the fact that church institutions and their workers could benefit from organization, study, and carefulness. We sometimes forget that the early church did struggle with disorganization and similar issues that some of our leaders face today, so we thought the quote as pertinent and a great reminder, especially as the church must deal with a global pandemic.
