The Church Board has voted to make provision for outside meetings on the church premises available under the following guidelines:
- Attendance at any outside meeting will be by pre-registration only, based on the same registration process already in place for our Sabbath worship services. The Communications Department will add any outdoor events to the registration form on the website so that registrants can select which event they are registered for;
- Church-owned tents and/or canopies will not be available for use in the outdoor meetings;
- Church-owned chairs will not be available for use in the outdoor meetings – thus participants must plan to either bring their own chairs, stand, or sit on the ground;
- Audio-visual support will not be available for any outdoor meetings;
- All of the same policies, procedures and restrictions in place for the Sabbath morning worship services (such as no gathering before or after the meeting on the property, adequate social distancing, etc.) will apply to any outdoor meetings;
- Each ministry/group leader planning an outdoor meeting will be responsible to coordinate with the Head Deaconess and Head Deacon to facilitate and plan for the relevant policies to be followed;
- The ministry/group leader organizing the outdoor meeting will be responsible to put in place the individuals needed to monitor confirmation that those in attendance were properly pre-registered and to ensure that all the proper protocols before, during, and after the meeting are followed.
I see NO REASON to BOOK an outdoor meeting on the church property/premises when most members could hold an outdoor meeting of 25 persons or less in a public park or in their own backyard. 😉
