Happy Sabbath, everyone!

I hope this message finds you well and that you have had a fulfilling week. On Sabbath evening, we will gather for our first business meeting of the year. Some may question the importance of holding business meetings within the church. However, these gatherings are vital for the effective management and growth of our congregation. The local church functions within specific roles established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church structure, and the influence of these meetings on decision-making is evident through the successful implementation of community programs and church activities.

The primary objective of a church business meeting is to unite members and leaders in discussing and addressing matters related to the church’s management, financial affairs, and ongoing activities. We encourage all members to attend, as they are entitled to vote.  These meetings play a vital role in promoting transparency and ensuring that the congregation has a voice in important decisions. The effectiveness of these discussions is often reflected in their outcomes, which can be seen in the successful implementation of community programs and church initiatives. By involving the congregation in these essential processes, churches not only uphold democratic principles but also foster a stronger sense of community and belonging. I warmly invite all members to participate in our first meeting of the year actively. Your presence and support are invaluable, as we establish the foundation for our future endeavors. Thank you, and may you be blessed in this new year.
