Hello Willowdale Family,
We are now midway through the New Beginnings evangelistic series, and I am deeply impressed by the outstanding work our church elders have done in presenting their nightly messages. There is no greater privilege entrusted to humanity than to speak on behalf of the King of the Universe. These live messages are being recorded so our church family can revisit and share them with friends and loved ones in the future.
Alongside our elders, several church departments— including Music, Health, and Audio-Visual—have faithfully shared their talents in proclaiming the good news of salvation. However, it is with a heavy heart that I share that many have not taken the opportunity to attend or invite family and friends to this powerful series, where life-changing truths are presented each evening. I ask that you keep this concern in your prayers.
Sanctuary & Security Update
Amid the excitement surrounding our sanctuary renovation, we have yet to highlight another major accomplishment—the completion of our security and surveillance system upgrade. We now have 48 cameras installed, with 4 more to be added in the coming weeks, for a total of 52 cameras monitoring both the interior and exterior of the church.
These cameras are operational and have already helped us observe nighttime visitors in various parts of the church property. Please remember, this system has been installed to ensure the safety of our members and visitors who come to worship in a secure environment. In the near future, signage will be placed at our three main entrances to remind everyone that our premises are under surveillance.
While it may be a sign of the times that churches require such measures, we trust God’s protection while also taking practical steps to safeguard His house. The Church Safety Department will review footage only when necessary. Our deacon team leaders will monitor the system on Sabbaths to ensure a safe worship environment for all.
Upcoming Messages & Special Programs
As the New Beginnings series approaches its conclusion on Friday, October 31, the upcoming presentations will address important topics such as:
- The State of the Dead
- Spiritualism
- Reclaiming Health and “Turning Back the Clock”
In addition, a special Children’s Ministry Night is scheduled for Thursday, October 31. Parents are encouraged to thoughtfully consider how they will spend this evening with their children. My prayer is that our choices reflect our identity as children of the Light, rather than participating in traditions that celebrate a defeated foe and embrace darkness over light.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. – Ephesians 5:8
May we continue to pray, participate, and support the work that God is doing in our church.
Maranatha
