Pastor’s Corner: Same Road. Different Direction.

Have you ever walked with somebody… and halfway through the road, you realize—you’re not going to the same place? You were side by side, step for step… but not direction for direction.
See, walking together isn’t about proximity. It’s about alignment. It’s easy to stand next to someone. It’s different to move toward the same end.

There was a time in Korea, under Japanese rule, when independence fighters had to mark themselves. Not for show—but for identification. Because you couldn’t trust appearances. Same language. Same face. Same land… but not the same direction. So they marked themselves—deep enough to say, “I’m not turning back.” “My life is tied to this cause.” Because if you weren’t going the same way… you weren’t one of them.

And we say it all the time—“I walk with God.” But do we? Because if He’s moving and I’m hesitating… if He’s calling and I’m calculating… if He steps into the fire and I’m searching for comfort—then I’m not walking with Him. I’m just familiar with Him.

So let me ask you one question.
Are you actually walking with God?
Or… are you just walking beside His path…
headed in a different direction?

Walking with God isn’t about being close. It’s about going where He goes—no matter where it leads.
