Jesus tells a simple story: a sower goes out to sow. The seed is the same, the sower is faithful, but the soil is different. Some seed falls on the path, some on rocky ground, some among thorns, and some on good soil. The difference is not in the seed, but in the space where it lands.
This parable gently reminds us that God is always speaking. His Word is always being sown—through Scripture, worship, conversations, and even ordinary moments of life. The question is not whether God is generous with His Word, but whether our hearts have room to receive it.
Busy schedules, unaddressed wounds, distractions, and comforts can slowly harden or crowd the soil of our hearts. Without realizing it, we can be present yet unavailable, hearing yet not truly listening.
As you prepare for worship tomorrow, take a quiet moment to reflect. Not to fix yourself or measure your faith, but simply to ask: Is there room in me for God’s Word to take root?
The good news is this: the Sower has not stopped sowing. God is patient, faithful, and near. When we come with open hearts, even small ones, He delights to plant His Word—and He is the One who brings the growth.
So today, the invitation is simple. Trust that even a small seed, placed in willing soil, can bear fruit in time. And remember, the growth does not depend on your strength, but on God’s faithfulness. Your role is not to force fruit, but to remain open.
The Sower will do the rest.
Blessings,
