Happy Sabbath, friends!

We have worked diligently for the last few weeks to get the Sabbath School Alive initiative going. We thank you for your cooperation, dedication, and commitment to this venture. We appreciate your feedback. Please continue to pray that as we study together, we will be drawn closer to God and each other.

As we move forward, we are all disciples of Jesus, and we follow Him by choice and His grace. Paul gives a perfect example of how to be a disciple; these words are timeless. We need them more than ever in this postmodern era. Paul wrote, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20 NKJV). The disciple learns from Jesus how to do everything he or she does the way Jesus did. In this journey, Jesus understands our shortcomings and our weaknesses. He will always keep us going. Remember, you are not an accident on this earth. You have a specific mission here. Before you were born, God had the dream for you to follow Jesus, become like Jesus, and make other disciples for Him. He will do just that for you if you permit Him. Put your hands in His Hands and trust Him. This is God’s way for you to achieve your destiny in this life. God wants us to experience a life full of joy and fulfillment. We were born for this! This is our highest purpose in this life. We have been chosen to be disciples. So, as we worked together in each Sabbath School Class, may persons be won to the kingdom of God. May we reach out to those missing from our church and encourage and pray with them.

In these challenging days, Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33 NKJV). To be a disciple of Jesus, you must have faith in Him, knowing He will never disappoint you. Jesus must be the first, the last, and the best in everything you do. As a disciple of Jesus, no matter what the situation is, you have a bright future before you. Jesus said He would be with us until the end. What a joy to know, on this very day, that Jesus is with us—the One who has all authority on heaven and earth. That can be a relief for us, helping us manage our anxiety, stress, and fear of tomorrow. The Bible says, “The very hairs of your head are all numbered” (Matthew 10:30 NKJV). May God help us read and meditate on His Word daily. Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have success. Let us remain faithful disciples of Christ in this twenty-first century.

Have a Blessed Sabbath
